HOLY MOLY

I might be 'Trying to eat and be healthy' for the next few months, meaning not too much of these little sweet things, but wow...they look so good! I would love to make them as a dinner party dessert ! This awesome recipe is by the girls from The Pretty Blog. I love their recipe posts, especially now that I can download the Recipe Cards too, so cool! x Get recipe here.

LAZY SUNDAYS

My new favourite snood - from Foschini

This is one thing I absolutely can not function without in winter. Give me one day without something covering my neck and I am pretty sure I will be stuck with some nasty cold thereafter. Over the years I have built an impressive pashmina collection, preferring the material above wooly scarves, but I have come to love the wooly snood! I love this light blue one! Goes with pretty much everything!

Hope you all had a lovely Sunday! x

Lazy Sundays

So my lazy sundays have become inspiration-seeking sundays. Let me explain... I start every week with the hope of, by some miracle, getting my act together and actually going to the gym. All this wintery comfort foods and hot chocolates will be haunting me once winter is over and I can't hide underneath 5 layers f clothing :-) I joined the gym on 28 January 2012 (again) and am very very ashamed to say that I have not even seen the inside of that gym, or any other, since then. This week I am dragging my sorry ass out there, even though it's cold and even though it's dark out. Just to make sure I stick to this plan, I've got myself some crazy inspiring images like this one that might just do the trick if I start to make excuses... For one, I really need to work on my bad posture, so I will be doing attempting some Pilates classes and a little cardio in between.

Botswana in Black & White

These images were taken by Rick when he and I were holidaying in Botswana over Christmas. It was such a lovely holiday, very very hot, and most definitely a little scary the first night when we were the only two people in the camp and not sure what animals lurked where. But we survived :) Rick's dad lent us his seriously high-tech camera and lenses and we got to take a few pics of the beautiful Thuli area.

Happy Friday

I love this look! If only these mint green pants could miraculously appear in my closet...Hope you guys have a lovely weekend!!! xXx

My Holiday Wishlist

So far this December's holiday is booked (mentioned here) and we are saving all our pennies to enjoy ourselves everything awesome and yummy over there in Europe. It will be my first time visiting France and Italy! Unfortunately Venice didn't make the cut this year...but I guess we'd rather see that one in the summer months when we can enjoy a lovely gondola ride :-) I've been eyeing a few things that I would love to travel with (or shop for) in Europe and made myself a little wishlist:

Ipad cover that can hold my Ipad, passport and plane tickets
Hunter boots (snow boots)
Canvas bag that can hold all essentials for sight-seeing
Leg warmers
Leather Travel (carry-on) luggage
Colorful luggage
A French beret
Gloves
Umbrella
Scarves
Woolie jacket
Camera

Pretty Pretty

How beautiful are these? I don't really know of many occasions where I can get away with wearing large flowers on my head...but I might just be able to pull something like this off at a themed tea party, what do you think? It can also be quite a fun DIY Bridal shower activity!

These headbands are designed by m.studio. You can learn how to make your own on The Pretty Blog, just click here. Photos taken by picturemeandu.

Lazy Sundays

Today was a super lazy one. After having gone through some of our old, dusty photo albums at home over the weekend, I came across a few of when I was little, holidaying with the family. I was six at the time and don't remember every detail, but I do remember the following:

- I was King of the Slopes!! Truly, kids are seriously fearless (at least I was)
- I loved going down black slopes, my parents not so much, so they weren't very impressed
- We played Tetris on Gameboy whenever we were not on the slopes
- Whenever I hear the song "How much is that doggy in the window, woof woof" I think back to this holiday, don't really remember why though...
- I rocked those ski sunglasses...am I right? Right!

Hope you have yourself a wonderful Sunday evening and an awesome week xXx
